This notice explains what personal data Helious Thrive Sdn Bhd (Company No. 1591981-W) collects through this website, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to meet our obligations under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) of Malaysia.

It covers this website only. It does not cover the personal data we process while acting as your company secretary or adviser under an engagement letter; that is governed by the engagement terms we agree with you.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry

Our enquiry form asks for your name, email address, telephone number, a subject, and an optional message. We collect only what the form asks for. Please do not send confidential company documents, identification documents or financial records through this form; we will tell you a secure way to send them once we are in contact.

Automatically, when you visit

Our web server records standard technical information in its access logs, including your IP address, the pages you request, the date and time, and your browser type. This is generated by the hosting infrastructure and is used to keep the site running and secure.

Why we use it, and on what basis

We use your enquiry details to reply to you, to understand what you need, and to prepare a scope and fee proposal if you ask for one. If you become a client, these details are carried into your client file and are then handled under your engagement terms.

We rely on your consent, given when you choose to submit the form. You may withdraw that consent at any time using the contact details above. We also process data where it is necessary to perform or prepare a contract with you, and to meet our own legal and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision making or profiling.

Where your enquiry goes

When you submit the form, your details are sent to us by email and are also saved in this website’s database so that we do not lose an enquiry if an email fails to arrive. Access to the website’s administration area is limited to the people who need it.

Third party services used on this website

The following services are loaded by this website and may receive data about your visit, including your IP address, under their own privacy terms:

• Google reCAPTCHA protects the enquiry form from automated abuse. It is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
• Google Maps displays the location of our office on the Contact page.
• Google Fonts supplies the typefaces the site is set in.
• WhatsApp is linked from the site. Following that link opens WhatsApp and any conversation there is governed by WhatsApp’s own terms.

Our website hosting provider processes data on our behalf in order to serve the site.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. WordPress may set a cookie if you leave a comment or log in to the administration area. Google reCAPTCHA may set cookies necessary for its abuse detection. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the enquiry form may stop working if reCAPTCHA is blocked.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records only for as long as we need them to respond to you, to follow up on a proposal, and to meet any record keeping obligation that applies to us. [To be confirmed by Helious Thrive: state the retention period for enquiries that do not become engagements, for example 24 months.] Enquiries that become client engagements are retained under the record keeping requirements that apply to company secretarial and accounting records.

Your rights

Under the PDPA you may ask us to:

• confirm whether we hold personal data about you, and give you access to it;
• correct data that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date;
• limit how we process your data, or stop processing it for direct marketing;
• withdraw a consent you previously gave.

Write to hello@heliousthrive.com and tell us what you would like us to do. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act, so that we do not disclose someone else’s data. We will respond within the period required by the PDPA. A fee may apply to a data access request, as permitted by the Act.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Personal Data Protection Commissioner of Malaysia.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal data submitted through this website, including access controls on the site’s administration area and encrypted connections. No website can be guaranteed completely secure, so please do not send sensitive documents through the enquiry form.
